Joined by pianist Ted Taylor, Sylvia will present her new one-woman show Subject to Change, a cabaret evening in which she recounts her own life’s journey, personally and professionally, through the songs of Gershwin, Porter, Rogers, Bernstein and Sondheim, with a few surprises thrown in. Sylvia is a two-time Grammy winner, a featured soloist on dozens of acclaimed recordings, and a frequent guest of the world’s leading orchestras. She turned from the world of opera and oratorio (whether at the Met or the Salzburg Festival) to musical theatre and the Great American Songbook, bringing the same remarkable gifts to this new path.
