Benefit Concert March 9 by Castleton Residency Artists

An Afternoon of Vocal Favorites: Broadway, Opera & Song

Sunday, March 9, at 4pm, at the Sperryville School House.

The Châteauville Foundation is pleased to announce a special event we are co-presenting with Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation. On Sunday afternoon, March 9, at 4pm, at the Sperryville School House, the young artists of our 2008 Castleton Residency will offer a concert of to benefit Headwater’s “Kindness Project,” teaching character virtues through the Arts at Rappahannock County Elementary School.

The rising young opera stars in Castleton for this year’s production of “The Beggar’s Opera” are pleased to be able to offer an “all-highlights” program combining popular American Standards, songs and duets from beloved musicals, and a few familiar arias and classical songs.

The concert will be followed by a Meet-the-Artists Reception, with coffee and dessert. No reservations are necessary and seating is general admission. Contributions in any amount will be gratefully received at the door with all proceeds going to Headwaters/The Kindness Project.
