Castleton Festival Artists to perform at this weekend's benefit

The Châteauville Foundation is pleased to be co-hosting a benefit with the Virginia Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation this Saturday, November 14, at 5:30 pm. In addition to a chestnut beer tasting and chestnut themed buffet, the evening will feature Dietlinde Turban-Maazel reading the Longfellow poem, "Under the Spreading Chestnut," as well as favorite classical songs, arias, and musical theatre standards by two Castleton Festival Artists, Dominic Armstrong, tenor, and Greta Ball, soprano. 

The mission of the Virginia Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation is to --

• Breed a blight-resistant American chestnut that is adapted to the physiographic regions of Virginia
• Educate Virginians about the values of American chestnut and efforts to develop blight-resistance
• Prepare for reintroduction of American chestnut trees in Virginia
