Soprano Nancy Gustafson

Program Change for Season Opener

Sep 13, 2007

The Châteauville Foundation will open its season on Sunday, September 23 with a different program than originally announced. Unfortunately, baritone Nathan Gunn has had to withdraw from all scheduled engagements over the next several weeks, due to illness. This includes his performance in Castleton as well as his opening series of performances at the Metropolitan Opera.

He greatly looks forward to re-scheduling his recital in Castleton in the very near future, and we will alert you to the new date as soon as possible.

We are delighted, however, to annouce a splendid replacement: the wonderful soprano Nancy Gustafson has kindly agreed to step in on short notice, and she has asked four of the artists she worked with as part of our Castleton Residency last spring to join her for an afternoon of opera and song. The program is still being assembled but will include classical arias and Lieder on the first half and some selections from the worlds of cabaret and music theatre on the second half. The superb young artists joining Nancy will be tenor Vale Rideout, baritones Paul LaRosa and Matthew Worth, and pianist Justina Lee.

Please visit the Event page for more details.

All reservations for September 23 will be held unless we receive other instructions. We look forward to seeing you then!
