One of the many charms of Rappahannock County is the absence of commercial zoning. The result is that the available accommodations within the immediate vicinity of the Castleton Festival are in distinctive smaller inns, B&Bs, or private guest cottages. Many of those nearest to Castleton Farms are located about 15 minutes away in historic Washington, VA—the first U.S. town named after George Washington, a picture-perfect rural village commonly known as “Little” Washington—or in Sperryville, VA, a little further down Route 211.
